One of my private coaching clients, Meagan Adele Lopez, is a writer who penned a piece on her site about her WHY--- the driver behind her three-month body transformation.

Before I work with women 1:1, I have them get truthy with themselves and define their WHY.

Why?

Because it's easy to get excited about the start of something new with the hope of something great (like a dramatic physique and health overhaul in three months).

But when unforeseen obstacles hit (and they will to whatever degree) if your WHY is rooted in shifting sands, commitment and focus will flag in exchange for instant gratification.

Before we attempt anything worthwhile (read: challenging), ensure your WHY can handle the weight of being your North Star. What it is is unique to you, whether it's wearing a bathing suit this summer, having sex with the lights on, getting off medications, or realizing the potential of your physical being.

Here's Meagan on her WHY. I think it will resonate.

I’m in bed. It’s 9:30pm, and I can’t wait to sleep. This pudding is not dark chocolate pudding with salted caramel but a casein protein shake mixed with a bit of

Simply Delish Pudding for consistency and extra flavor and a dash of Himalayan Pink Salt.

I’m two months in – two months in to no-alcohol, tough workouts three times per week, measuring food and timed eating, early to bed and early to wake up, and I’m feeling better and more focused than I ever have in my entire life.

I’ve nearly cracked about three times:
